Art Therapy – Last Pick

Last Pick

I only used paint colors that I do not like, a style of brush that I have never used, and brush strokes that I thought were silly. The idea was to take a step out of my comfort zone and see what “wrong” feels like.

    • Thank you for visiting my blog. This is a great question.

It was very strange and uncomfortable. My inner dialogue kept telling me to stop. But I coaxed myself to press through my thoughts and feelings… To just allow myself to play and be curious without self-judgement. In the end, I was very pleased. By letting myself step out of my comfort zone I found some new ideas for future projects. More importantly, with more practice, in the future I might be open to the possibility of letting myself play, take risks and explore in other aspects of my life, too.
